Default \"...you\'ve got to know when to fold \'em...\"

I'd like to hear some more thoughts on when and when not to fold, specifically as it relates to limit and NL/PL Hold 'Em.

I know you consider the bettor/raiser and their characteristics. Do you put the bettor on a bluff, the nuts, a draw, betting to eliminate players, etc.

I know you consider yours and the bettors position relative to the button, the flop, the turn, the river.

I know you consider pot odds.

Having asked, I realize that the question may be to vague.

How 'bout this; I guess my concern is laying down too frequently and being run over vs. making big calls and losing too much bank.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
