Default QQ on the bubble...play to place?

party poker 10+1 nl tourny, 4 handed, blinds 150-300. Small blind has the big stack of around t3400, big blind is in second place with t2200 or so, utg+1 is small stack with t1000. I am on the button with a stack of around t1400.

I am dealt QQ. Low stack folds, I push all in, big stack calls out of the small blind, and big blind folds. Big stack turns over A10o and turns an ace to beat me.

Now, I'm not saying that this was a particularly tough beat, and I think in most situations this push was alright. But would anybody else have just called or possibly mucked the hand altogether, as I was third in chips with the low stack about to get smacked by the blinds? Or is that simply too weak? I think the push is the right play; if I fold and small stack doubles up against one of the other two I'm not looking too good. Any comments?
