Traveling to Caribbean

My friends and I want to spend spring break somewhere south, preferably Caribbean, Mexico, and if worst comes to worst, Florida. I know someone who got a deal for 10+ people for 600 bucks a person to bahamas last year. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I've tried expedia and travelocity with no luck (maybe im not searching correctly). I think some of my friends said their budget is like 800 or so. Thanks in advance, OOT.
