GOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL(S) - LC
Hey all,
I learned in one of my psychology classes that people who set goals in stone (ie. in writing) are +XX% more likely to actually achieve them than a person who just says they're going to do the same goal. I forget the exact percentage, but it was a fair amount. Looking across a few of the other forums, and our own, I see a spattering of posts about people setting themselves goals and some other goal setting threads such as the Open Challenges and whatnot. Since I was going to make a post about my own goals to put them in writing, I thought that maybe it would be a cool idea to invite everyone else in the micros to add their own goals below mine. These goals can be short term or long term, guaranteed to be made or maybe something of a stretch to reach, poker related and even some non-poker related if you care to share such with the rest of us. Every few weeks, make a check back in post giving us the status of your goals. Perhaps it will help you improve and build a little community. So I'll go ahead and start. Short Term Goals - Log 20K hands @ $2/4 by the end of July - Pickup $500 in bonuses in July - Make at least 3 posts a day on the Micro forums Long Term Goals - Have the BR (and confidence in my game) to take a shot at playing $5/10 live during my trip to Vegas in September - Be playing $5/10 6max by the end of the year - Buy the new car I've been eyeing by the end of the year Feel free to reply with your own. |
