Default Have you ever heard of or refferred to Beers as Bronsons?

Four years ago, my friend who was in the Navy emailed me to let me know about a funny thing his fraternity brother thought of", he started calling Beers, Bronsons. (As in Charles Bronson). The email was long and funny, and me and my friends decided to try and get it started amongst our peers.

My friends brothers took it to the extreme, and even went on roadtrips to NorthEast colleges where they would throw around the word Bronsons like crazy. In fact, while in Boston, the guys in the band PieBald heard the Bronsons reference and fell in love.

So the reason I am posting this is, Playboy last year published a "Hipster" dictionairy. (Lame I know). And one was in fact Bronsons for Beers.

Did someone over hear one of my friends or a friend of friend? Or have any of you ever heard this reference? (And yes Hipsters suck, but Playboys frame of reference is probably any dude who doesn't wear J-Crew is a hipster)
