[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] was this a tournament, because I don't see someone pushing 15k with that hand. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry this was an 11+R tourney [/ QUOTE ] The guy who won the main event of the WSOP is playing $11 tourneys? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah he won it 2 nights ago for a little under 12k. |

[ QUOTE ]
If he continues to final table these tournaments he will be making around 10K a week just playing the 11+R on stars. That's a hefty income. [/ QUOTE ] He won't though. Someone said the other night was his first final table on stars. |

Someone said the other night was his first final table on stars. [/ QUOTE ] He hasn't played many tournaments on stars since the WSOP. And I watched him play for an hour during which he made no mistake and outplayed his opponents on multiple occasions. He also destroyed his opponent heads up. Just admit that he's good. |

[ QUOTE ]
On the seccond hand he has like 2.5 to 1 pot odds and that is if no one else limped. So his odds were not bad. Also the pusher didnt even have 3bb... [/ QUOTE ] The fact of the matter is, it was a 60/40 hand, and moneymaker had a lot of chips to work with. with 15K + 9K (blinds) + 6K that he already put in, + about 1K in antes, he's getting about 3.3:1 to make this 60/40 call. Saying it's a bad call is like saying folding AA preflop is smart. |

People underestimate Moneymaker. He might not appear to be a genius or one of the best players of all time, but he ain't a pushover either. You can't just beat 2500 players (+qualifiers) by pure luck. I mean you can, but such an amount of luck would simply be unnatural.
His major mistake was to sign with "Poker for Dummies". Would have made him look much smarter to with 2+2 instead |

Just curious. How would you recognize Moneymaker on an Online table? I mean anybody can have a user name like "MONEY_MAKER" OR "M0NEY_MAKER" or something. [/ QUOTE ] His screen name is widely known - something like Money_800. And there is a picture of him. I'm sure pokerstars advertises it. -Todd |
