Funny story
This is a true story.
A private club that has been running a two table poker room for the last 15 years, got raided last week. The cops came in and seized everything gambling related, including all moneys and chips from the club as well as the players. Outside their are at least 10 police cars with their red lights still flashing and a few cops patrolling the outside of the club. A lady in her 50's that has been going to this club several times a week for the past 15 years like a religion, pull's into the parking lot. She's see's all the comotion and knocks on the door of the club. A cop in full uniform opens the door and asks "can I help you?'" She replies "yes, is there a seat open?" Re: Funny story
Usually poker players are smarter than that, but this sort of thing happens a lot. It is not rare for a search warrant to be served on a drug house and have people call or come by when the cops are searching. They will come to the door while guys in rubber gloves, cop wear, badges, etc... are searching and ask where Joe or Bill or whatever dealer is. The cops are very willing to hook these folks up with whatever they desire. "Oh, bill's not here right now, can we help you?" Some people catch on and leave. Others don't. People are idiots, what can you say.
