Huh? I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science, which includes many courses on airline safety. Taking the A320 as an example (one of the most common domestic aircraft in operation), the aircraft itself was very rarely the problem when it came to accidents. The problems stemmed from the fact that the aircraft is mostly computer controlled, and thus the pilots had problems operating it correctly. Even the first major Airbus crash in France in 1988 (at the airshow in Mulhouse) was due to pilot error. He simply did not understand an important part of the systems.

I've even personally flown a French aircraft. An Aerospatiale (now Socata) TB9 Tampico. It was the best ergonomically designed aircraft I've ever flown. Much better than what what American manufacturers put out.

I could go on and on about why you're wrong, but I'll just leave it at that. If you've really boycotted French goods because of their lack of support in the Gulf War, then I pity your ignorance.
