$55 5handed: I min raise utg=77. Other midstack pushes utg+1. Call?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (5 handed) converter
saw flop|saw showdown BB (t1285) HERO (t2645) UTG+1 (t2115) MP (t2785) Button (t1170) Preflop: HERO is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. HERO raises to t600, utg+1 pushes, rest fold, HERO? There's no Sb. No reads. My table image is questionable. I've stolen utg+1's blinds twice in the last 4 orbits. Plus when I was a shortstack (6handed), I pushed with co=98o and sucked out. But then again, they're probably smart enough to know that there's a good chance one of the short stacks will be calling so they should think i gota have a decent hand. Reason I min-raise was to bait one of the small stacks to go all-in. I never expected utg+1 to push. I'll only dominate if he has 22-66. It'll be a coin flip or I'll be dominated on all other reasonable situations. Assuming he has AK, would you call and go for the coin flip in this situation? Why/Why not? THX |

i open push here, this situation just becomes too tough, folding is bad, calling is bad, also i think any shortstack should realize you are committed so minraising wont really open the range of hands they call/push with.

Open push, your hand is too strong here. |

this is why you should push, to avoid these hard problems.
well, that and your likely to have the best hand... |
