AQs again (and mini-rant about party)
Anyone out there bet the flop here? I couldn't bring myself to call the turn - there were just too many hands out there that I was behind.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (6 handed) converter saw flop|saw showdown MP (t2287) Hero (t590) Button (t2835) SB (t760) BB (t745) UTG (t783) Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to t90, 1 fold, SB calls t75, 1 fold, Flop: (t210) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: t335 Main Pot: t210 (t210), won by SB. Pot 2: t125 (t125), returned to SB. The mini-rant is about Party's starting chips at the $10+1 level and thus nothing new. Last night I had three depressing games two of which hinged on hands like the one above. I get a good starting hand (TT, AKs, QKs) and open-raise my standard 3xBB. Then I get a horrible flop. Not just no help, but possible help for everyone but me: My TT gets AKx, AKs gets QQx, QKs comes up with Axx monotone. Now I realize that this is poker, and this sort of thing happens. But on Party, if you go a couple of rounds without hitting a hand, and then can't close the deal on two hands with which you've open raised, you're in some trouble. My deposit to Stars should clear tomorrow, so I can give them a try. Here endeth the rant. (Note: The third loss came when my KK fell to JJ.) |
