Default Paul Martin and Ariel Sharon: Two Peas in a Pod

So Canada has it's first minority government in almost 25 years, and it is now up to Paul Martin to put together a coalition that will govern this country.

It's eerily familiar, IMO.

Rumours of a Liberal/Bloc alliance are surfacing, but I somehow doubt that Trudeau's party, with a longstanding policy not to negotiate with separatists, will even consider the Bloc in a unity government. As for the NDP, one can only hope they be given no power whatsoever.

the liberals are old news.

Nevermind the fact that they bilked the taxpayers out of hundreds of millions.

Please tell me you are not hoping the liberals to make a pact with the Alliance. The NDP would be better than that.

I'd rather the Conservatives win outright.

I'm personally fairly Centrist and have always been Liberal, but I have no intention of allowing them to steal any more taxpayer money, and they've grown fat and lazy with power.

The NDP will have us pledging allegiance to Stalin before long (first up for them, according to Layton in the English Debate, will be abolishing the Senate), and the Bloc will cut the country up - after Quebec separates, BC and the West will follow.

Hey, why is the Newfoundland legislature passing legislation supporting Quebec's separation?

Because the drive to Toronto will be 4 hours shorter.
