Default first time in vegas......

I'm going to Las Vegas for the first time on 09/07/01 for the weekend. I would like some advice on the best place to test my skill, as well as, if anyone knows of any tournamanets going on that weekend. It may sound crazy but i want to test my abilities against the best competition and play at a casino where i can move up in limits if i get the chance. This trip might determine if i permanantly more to vegas in the future to play full time. I 'm starting at 20-40 or 25-50, but might go up to 50-100 or 100-200. Where can i find a wide selection of games and limits. I'm a winning player whose won regularly at my local cardrooms and homegames in the midwest.

WHERE DO THE TWO PLUS TWO AUTHORS PLAY ? I WOULD LIKE TO MAYBE MEET THEM AND THANK THEM FOR THERE WRITINGS, AS IT HAS LITERLY CHANGED MY LIFE AND MY WALLET.

Aaaaaah, the stuffy air of impending doom...

One trip is CERTAINLY not going to determine whether you are ready for the BIG LEAP.

Good luck.

vegas is not the place to move if you want to play poker professionally. the most games, and the best games, and the loosest, most profitable games are in los angeles.

the 4 Queens Poker Classic tournaments begin sept 5th and continue for about 3 weeks or longer. I think that during the time you will be in Vegas the lower level $500 buy-ins will be going on.

word has it that it will be well attended with a lot of the better players there. this is first time they are having tournaments there in SEVERAL years...but back then, the side games were good nad may be again now.

suggest you start there. their hotel may be sold out, but you can try at 800-634-6045
