Completing in SB at 5/10
I am currently taking a shot at 5/10 and I think I have a big leak in SB. At 3/6 I usually assume that having the button and getting a 1/3bet discount is about equal in value.
Which hands do you complete with at 5/10 if: one solid player has limped? one buddy has limped? two players has limped? plenty of players has limped? If this has already been coverd can someone please post a link? |

Re: Completing in SB at 5/10
Getting the button and having a 1/2 discount are roughly equal (although usually position is slightly better). I can almost guarantee you're defending/completing from the small blind too much if that's your line @ 3/6.

Re: Completing in SB at 5/10
If having position is slightly better than getting a 1/2 bet discount, then why does HEPAP recomend completing for 1/2 bet with hands such as 68o? Surely playing 68o on the button is not to recomend, right?

Re: Completing in SB at 5/10
which is why limping the same hands from the button and the small blind is only a starting point for the hands that you play.

Re: Completing in SB at 5/10
It depends on how those limpers play too.
Any suited face card. Any suited one gapper or two gapper above 75. Sometimes and two suited. Ax offsuit sometimes. RARELY A5 or lower. Depends on who limped and where. Any two broadway is obvious, I hope. Broadway unsuited gappers like K9 and J8. - Jim |
