Should I trap with flopped second pair HU?
So my buddy and I are playing heads up tonight for $50 each. He has had a good amount to drink and I'm tearing away at his low denomination chips. He finally realizes it and starts beefing up the pot early in the deal. he calms down a bit and starts becoming very strong, very long, taking down many pots, but folding to aggression (basically, sobering up). That brings us to this hand...
Blinds 0.10/0.25 home game Villian $34 (button) Hero $66 T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, Villian raises preflop 0.75 which doesn't mean anything when he has position, I call. ( $2 ) Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, He bets $2, I call ( $6 ). Here's where is gets messy, I still think I'm beating him... Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I think if I fire, he folds. I want to trap with my third pair in this loose battle. But, after checking, he bets about $4 and I choke, fold, and get shown unpaired cards. Should I have followed through, possibly facing a bet on the river? Thanks in advance, Digital |
