Hi, this is my first post here but I've heard that this is the best site around. Please, if you think my hand is stupid just don't post. Any help, however, would be greatly appreciated.
$40 tournament on Ultimate Bet (181 entrants) Blinds 100-200 Hero has about 6000 chips A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the SB Table's big-stack (about 15000 chips) limps from middle pos. Hero calls. BB checks Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets 400 (pot 600) BB folds. Villain calls Turn: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks. Villain immediately bets pot Hero goes over-top all-in Thanks for any comments |

Don't know if I like your check on the turn here. I like leading again for about 1/2-2/3 pot, bet around 700-1000. If you don't pair your nine or hit your flush on the river I would check and call any bet he makes.
After he bets the pot I do like the reraise all in. You could just call and see the river but that leaves you wondering what to do if you miss your flush. He is going to bet the turn when you check and show weakness trying to pick up the pot. Your reraise may push him off his hand but even if he has you beat you still have your outs to the flush. |

Im not sure if I like it. Do u think villian is going away?
If so u pick up 2800, right? But if he calls u loose 5400 70% of the time, I think. If he calls and u win u win (the initiall pot of 2800 + 4000 the allin bet he has to call) 6800, which is odds of about 2.2:1. Since you are a 4:1 underdog u need folding equity to fill the gap. Lets say he calls 70% of the time, and folds 30%. Then u win, at showdown, 6800+5400 = 12200 30% of the time. Lose 5400 70% Win 2800 30% but 100% when he folds ...and I have no idea what this tells you but it was fun trying to do the math. Could anyone help me out... |
