Default A better fiction

I would like everyone on this forum to start talking about the unknown, the unprovable, that without evidence-- in a different way. The talk of God, religion, catholicism, ptotestentism, etc is getting kind of uninteresting to see every time I check the forum. I want us to stop those topics for a while, and start talking about fresh ideas-- pixies, ghosts, UFO's, Unicorns, leprechauns. I mean, sometimes I get tired of Stephen King's fiction, and I need something different, say Dean Koontz for a while.

How can you be tired of Stephen King's fiction when you've never read any?

Ahhh, first of all, you're assuming that I have never been religious. And if you're suggesting that I'm in some way flawed because I don't study religion,etc- that's like me telling you you might do some good reading the Superman comics.

Religious and having knowledge of religion are two different things.

Superman comics - creator: Human - purpose: Entertainment

Religious texts - creator: Deity (supposed) - purpose: Salvation (normally)

Shooby, if you want to talk about something else, start a thread about it.

You're being one of those people that says "Somebody should do x" when they don't do it themselves.

Don't exist, don't exist, exist by definition, don't exist, don't exist.

Some topics I'd suggest are ESP and remote viewing, aliens, the physical possibility of certain types of creatures (like the creatures in 'Aliens', borgs, etc), PEAR, X Files scenarios, freaky creatures thread (killer bees, worms that live in your flesh and grow to a metre, vampire bats, etc), time travel and its implications, the possibility of grey ooze from nanotechnology, machine sentience in the future and possible outcomes, types of creatures that advanced genetic engineering could create...

Just start a thread, I'd like to see less religion too.
