Re: AAK6s turn decision gutshot + nut flush draws
I wouldn't raise this hand preflop. You've got 10 outs on the turn so it's really just a math problem from there. I also think your flop raise seems a bit off as you're often going to be up against a big draw and your flush draw is limited quite a bit with you holding an extra [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. If villain pushes back on this flop, you're often way behind and drawing to your two hearts or runner-runner to hit your hand, and a lot of limping hands are a big favorite to you on this one.
Given your stack size, though, I don't think you're getting away from this one. You've got 10 pure outs and are paying $14.1 to win $61.35, and you need to be getting 3.6:1 to call here, so I think you can call profitably. Just don't expect to win often at all. Rob |

Then what DO you raise preflop Entity? PF action is fine.

I messed up the math. This looks like a fold. You're actually getting 38.5:14.1 on your call and you need 3.6:1 to call.

AAxx is basically what you have here, as your [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] draws aren't great, the 6 does absolutely nothing for your hand, and you have very little postflop straightening potential. You're only getting in 5% of your stack, and you're going to tie yourself and everyone else to a flop where you often aren't best. Rob |

Re: AAK6s turn decision gutshot + nut flush draws
That's not a dry Ace, it's single-suited, which is fine for a pf raise, it doesn't need to have big runners or another pair to raise it pf. If it was AAK6 no suits that'd be a limp.

Re: AAK6s turn decision gutshot + nut flush draws
Math problem. 10 pure outs. 13 outs are the most possible I'd say i.e. If he has a set without 2 diamonds you've got 13 outs. Say 11.5 on average which is about 2.8:1 against, and the pot is laying about 2.6:1. Close but a fold.
