Default Couldn\'t connect to euro...AA 3/6 on stars vs super nits

Only had 200 on my stars account so I hopped into a tight/crappy 3/6 morning game. These guys don't give much action, but I felt like hanging around and getting some SH practice vs. nits.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero raises, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks, Button checks.

Turn: (4 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, CO calls, Button folds.

River: (7 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, SB folds.

Final Pot: 9 BB

I think you need to bet the flop. It's unlikely that anyone caught an 8 and you don't want to give infinite odds to the flush draw. I would raise the turn for the same reason.

Am I way off?

I think your flop check stinks. The pot is already 8 bets. Do what you can to win the big pots right away.

You have to bet here, especially with a flush draw out there.
The free card is a perfect opportunity for someone to not only outdraw you but to pick up a profitable draw on turn.

there must be a reason for you checking the flop.

Reasoning behind the flop check? You really give someone that much credit for the 8 that you don't wanna throw a bet out there? I'd say bet this 100% of the time.

I see your reasoning behind the check (paired board = no 5 outers, so why not induce bluffs or let people catch a second best, or even save bets) but I would rather check the turn heads up than check the flop with many potential callers.

righto

I was planning to check raise a flop bet, which I thought I'd get from most PPs, flush draws, a 5, and an 8. Most guys in this game would 3-bet an 8, and I could slow down to a crawl for pretty cheap, but my real intention was maximizing and inducing some action, not to save bets.

I also thought if the flop checked through, and I bet any turn, I'd look like a steal, which might get looked up alot lighter than they would had I bet flop/turn in sequence.

Just feelin it out..
