More rivers.
Villain is slightly loose preflop, passive by my standards (45/13) and aggressive postflop according to stats. He hasn't been doing much other than calling me down, but when he's had a big hand he's usually stated it rather obviously.

Re: More rivers.
I think you can fold the river here, the lead / check-raise / lead is a strong line and he can see the straights and all the cards in the playing zone.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I feel like it should be an easy fold -- I called since I was having a really tough time putting him on a hand, but I don't think that's really a good reason. |

I feel like this is a fold that many 2+2ers are afraid to tell people to make
"...but you have top pair and it's one bet..." I'd call on a less scary board, I think. |

[/ QUOTE ] These three statements don't seem to fit together. Readless, I'd probably play the same way. I might also stick in a raise preflop... |

[/ QUOTE ] of course it's a good reason. he raised the flop and bet the turn. he's not that agrressive. we should put him on a pair or better. he raised the river. it's unlikely he'd do that without a flush. you have the Td and the 9d is on the board. that really only leaves JT, 8d7d, or a flopped non-nut straoght with 2 diamonds. he's not going to value raise here with 2 pair on the river. I think it's closer than people are giving it credit for just because there are so few hands that makes sense. I still fold but I think it's at least somewhat close |
