****Official "Recommend Movies to Rent at the Video Store" Thread****

I am a big fan of movies. I go to the video store about 4x/week. I used to never have problems finding movies. Friend's would recommend them, I would get great movies I had always heard about but never seen, etc.

Now I can wonder around in that God-forsaken place for hours and never find anything that strikes me. I sometimes employ the "random pick" but with very little success. I have quite a few friends who are movie buffs and their recommendations were always good because I respected their taste in things . Now I am so desperate that I take the advice of complete tools at work which usually ends up with me mindlessly watching Boat Trip or White Chicks *shudder*.

Inspired by another movie-related post, I would like to have a thread of movie recommendations. The average 2p2'er is relatively intelligent, so your picks are welcomed. I will drop some of my own recommendations if there generates some interest, and hopefully some decent movie-related debate will ensue.
