When do you stop bonus chasing?
I know chasing bonuses is a great way to build a bankroll but when do you stop and just play on one or two sites for rakeback? At what amount is it more profitable to just play for rakeback? Reason I am asking is because I am starting to build a bankroll through chasing bonuses and my bankroll is still small ($1K). Should I contiue to chase bonuses? I play $25NL and I am thinking of moving up to 50NL soon. Let me know what you think.

Keep chasing until they quit offering. Easily adds up to 5K+/year. WTF.....Your gonna play anyway.

Stop chasing Party and skins now.... you don't want those guys confiscating your bankroll.

Re: When do you stop bonus chasing?
When you start making more per hour at rakeback than bonuses. It's really that simple. Basically, whatever has the higher EV. Usually this at 5/10 and above for good players, not sure about NL but 50NL is still small stakes, and you need this money.

Re: When do you stop bonus chasing?
I think I have finally reached the point of not going out of my way to chase bonuses. I am playing 5/10 short on party, I just chased the recent stars bonus and with the 600 dollar max deposit i didn't want to play my normal 5/10 game because it would be fairly easy to swing through the 600 dollars before the completing the bonus. So by playing lower stakes to complete the bonus it is costing me money. This coupled with a solid rakeback deal and I'm only gaining a few bucks (if any) over the same amount of hands. But it's hard to give up bonus chasing, you can take the whore out of the bonuses, but you can't take the bonus out of the whore.

I play 5/10 and really can't think of a good reason to stop doing bonuses. Almost without exception, bonuses are more profitable than rakeback. The only thing I will not do, is sit in a terrible game to clear a bonus. I stopped doing this at 2/4. |

I quit at 15-30. You still have a ways to go I believe before bonus chasing is not worth it for you in terms of the ev calculation.
