Just joined the table but the player seemed tight from what I have seen.

my hunch is that you have him outkicked and you should call. I mean is this guy so tight that he wouldnt raise AJ or AQ from that position?

I have to say that I hate your 4-bet on the turn. If you are going to be unsure what to do when he makes pushes like that then you simply cannot afford to make a tiny 4-bet in the first place.
I think that if you are going to be throwing raises in there that you should actually make them decent in size. Tiny raises like the ones you made simply define your hand much too well for your opponent for much to cheap. Now having said that, CO must know that you have at least an ace, and he wants to push anyway. I doubt many players make this type of bluff as they are VERY likely to be called especially on party at this limit. So without a read this is an easy fold IMO. |

What's the point of just calling the flop?

So without a read this is an easy fold IMO. [/ QUOTE ] I dont think I understand this. How many hands is hero worried about- realistically, only A3, AJ, 33, and AQ. I do not think its realistic to worry about AK or JJ given the pre-flop action- i also think AQ is unlikely- even AJ is a raiser from the CO for the majority of players. So basically its 33 or A3- i dont see that as an easy fold at all... |

As I said, I think it is VERY obvious that hero has an ace here. Villain still wants to push his stack which is a huge overbet at this point. In my mind, he is simply not worried about an ace which would make me think that he either likes his kicker or has a full house. I just do not see A9-A2 making this type of overbet.

I might even stick a raise out preflop with 3 folds ahead only 3 people behind.
Anyways, I'd play the flop differently. But, if you thought you could get SB's money in on the turn, then I suppose it isn't bad. I absolutely hate the action on the turn, though. Is this a limit game or what? Get out there and throw some chips around. You showed no aggression on the flop, so CO may very well think that he is ahead with any Ax. The only real hands that you have to be worried about are AK, AQ, AJ, and yes, A3 or 33. That said, I call that all-in every time. |

Brian is correct. no way in hell lower ace would suddenly wake up on turn after hero showing such strength. lower ace will be desperate for cheap showdown in this hand.
