KTs - Capped 4 ways pre-flop, TP on monotone flop.
no reads on any particular players, but after 2 or 3 orbits, table seems pretty loose.

Re: KTs - Capped 4 ways pre-flop, TP on monotone flop.
Part of me wants to check/raise the flop. Part of me wants to check/fold. I guess an argument could be made for betting too. Check/calling looks best to me though.
I like it all, I think. Interesting hand. Preflop I don't like limping after 3 folds. River call looks very good. Turn I see no reason to bet. So I think the flop is really the most interesting. |

I would check-fold the flop, but i'm weak like that. Although some individual reads could sway my decision. The turn and river are good.

I think the post flop play is fine. I probably would have folded preflop when it came back for 2 more. --Rico |

I probably would have folded preflop when it came back for 2 more. [/ QUOTE ] I was about to fold when the SB called the cap cold. I felt like 7.5-1 was enough to call 2 more cold. Had the small blind folded, I would have been right behind him. |

I probably would have folded preflop when it came back for 2 more. [/ QUOTE ] Rico, I never even considered that. But I guess I can see your thinking. But with SB coldcalling the cap you're getting about 7:1 or better. I think it's worth a look at the flop. If it were offsuit then no argument. Chief |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, I saw that. I do not think calling is horrible or anything, and I am sure there are tons of players better than me who think folding is wrong. But... You are getting 15:2, which is different than 7.5:1. The preflop cap, imo, means that you are almost assuredly dominated. Yet the pot is going to be so large, that you really can't just say "I am only looking for a straight or flush draw here" b/c if you hit a K or T, you have to continue. Perhaps this is a spot where I am too tight. --Rico |

Re: KTs - Capped 4 ways pre-flop, TP on monotone flop.
I like the idea of CR the flop and betting out on a blank turn card. I wouldn't want lone hearts getting a free look and if the button 3-bets me on the flop I'm seriously going to consider giving it up on the turn.
Otherwise I like the rest of it. I normally fire a raise on the river, but in this case I'd be worried what SB coldcalls a cap with and the bets the river once the king comes. After that turn checked through its difficult to tell if he's just taking a shot at it or missed a CR and is holding a monster. The call is probably best, and you're likely ahead of the button so you want him to call along too. |
