how does netteller make its money?

If they let you transfer,withdraw and deposit money from sites all round the net for free, where do they actualy make their profits?

The sites absorb the Neteller fees rather than passing them on to their customers (us). I believe the fees are quite hefty.

It's like AMEX, vendors have to pay a processing fee to NETeller for transactions.

They don't pay you interest. In the Money Market they get around 2.25% p.a. at present

If you deposit money from your checking acct to netteller they get you for 9%, then they collect from the sites you transfer from. They also make money on person to person transfers. Basically anytime money goes to or from your account they are collecting something.

It is very convenient is worth it IMO.

Thats only if you use the Instacash feature. If you just use the EFT transaction to get money from your bank account to neteller you dont have to pay a fee.

Don't forget their primary source of income:
