Default A hand against Evan

Me, Evan, and Tash horsing around on .5/1. (But I'm posting it in here, so y'all can bite me). Evan has been getting ridiculously out of line. Last time we squared off, it was the same positions, and I had A2, flopped A5x, and he went nuts with J5. Turned his trip 5s to take me down. This hand was revenge... or was it?

Flop: (12 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

Final Pot: 17 BB

Results in white below:

Outcome: BB wins 17 BB.

i don't like the river 3bet. he can get out of line on the flop when he has outs or force a fold from you but the river is a different story - you're beat here most of the time.

Usually, yes. But tonight, he was pulling bluff-raises on every street.

There is a world of difference between the flop and the river.

River 3-bet is total nonsense, but sounds like fun .

He was doing one bluff raise but not two. I thought my 3-bet was for value because he was either bluffing with nothing or raising with a pair because I could have been bluffing (and I very well could have been). When he capped my 3-bet I knew I was toast. But I think the majority of the time my A8 beats his 52.

(We also played a hand where I had AK and he had A8 and I told him to call my raise PF so he 3-bet me PF and he ended up sucking out two 8s. Evan sucks out like a champ!).
