How much does the expert bet here?
What's the correct amount to bet when you Flop top pair out of position and someone stays with you for the Turn?
Example from the other night: Cheap online MTT, BB is 25/50 and most of the crazies are gone. You're in the SB with red AQ (off). MP Limps, OTB Limps, you make it 200 to go. MP Folds, OTB Calls. OTB hasn't yet done anything strange that you've noticed and you both started this hand with about the same number of chips (~T1100). FLOP is QT7 with two clubs. Pot is T450. You bet about half your remaining chips (~pot size) I presume, leaving you with ~T450 and OTB Calls once again. The Turn is a blank such as 2d. Your stack is far smaller than the pot. What is the expert's bet here? Some related questions if you wish to expound: If Op has Flopped a set or two pair, does the expert simply get busted with this hand? If Op is chasing a straight or flush draw, does the expert ever give him the last card for free? Has this hand been over-bet because it's so early in the tournament? |
