Playing against a telephone(only I didn\'t know it)
The villian in this hand is new to the table. Several hands later, he is ranked the telephone. I am interested in the way people play against certain player types per bisonbison's rating system. Specifically in this example does this information change the play of the hand? PS What about a turn 3 bet with an unknow opponent?

Why did you check the flop? Other than that it looks fine.

Yea, checking the flop sucks, you want to bet and hope someone raises allowing you to set up a check/raise on the turn.

Re: Playing against a telephone(only I didn\'t know it)
The button was an aggressive player so I planned to make the field call 2 cold.

Put those kind of reads in your first post. It helps us understand why you C/R the flop.

Re: Playing against a telephone(only I didn\'t know it)
Sorry I will next time. I was really kind of more interested in learning to interpret the way to read my opponents. For example, when the telephone starts ringing on the turn, a passive player getting aggressive, does anyone fold. Having the pokertracker and the rating system doesn't help me if I don't interpret the data logically.

Re: Playing against a telephone(only I didn\'t know it)
What sort of numbers are you looking at for aggression? If he's at .1 then you can probably shut down, but if he's at 1.4, then I'd be more inclined to see Kx, maybe diamonds. Also, more importantly, what are his WSD and W$SD numbers?
A slightly passive opponent postflop with very high WSD and average or worse W$SD is going to get a lot less respect than one with lower WSD% |

Re: Playing against a telephone(only I didn\'t know it)
Thank you. Of course this is after playing with the dude for an hour so there are sample size issues, but his WSD is 55% and his W$SD is 80%. But I get the drift of what you are saying.

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious, but what's the telephone?
