AQ Semibluff - How Do I Max My Win Here?
$5 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed)
Hero (t1440) MP2 (t1440) MP3 (t2260) CO (t1360) Button (t1100) SB (t1190) BB (t1260) UTG (t2010) UTG+1 (t1440) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls t30, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (t90) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets t30, BB folds, Hero raises to t120, SB calls t90. Turn: (t330) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets t30, Hero raises to t300 I don't like my turn bet. Based on his actions he probably has the 6 (he was SB) with a 10% chance he has a strangely played J. The only card I'm worried about falling is another 6 here. Should I have bet less and brought him along to the river? Of course if any of the other streets look wrong to you, please comment. Thx |

Re: AQ Semibluff - How Do I Max My Win Here?
Not a strangely played J... a well played J. It's called inducing a bluff, and it worked. I'd say your 3x raise is OK once in a while, but after that I think you have to let it go (check and fold).
There are lots of tihngs he could have in the small blind and just limp in: AJos, 66, QJos, JTos, J9os... |

I'd say your 3x raise is OK once in a while [/ QUOTE ] Do you mean the flop? You would fold the flop to a 1/3 pot bet on a $5 SNG? Given that, you would fold the turn to a 1/11 pot bet? |
