Default 88 flops set

Later same table as last two.

Table is VERY LAG. I see pots raised, reraised and called down 3-5 way where less than top pair wins alot along with top pair rag kicker (K2 A7 etc) winning most of the time.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (7 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (7 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, CO calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (9 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

River: (17 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB raises, MP1 folds, CO folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 21 BB
Main Pot: 21 BB, between Hero and BB.

Thanks

I'd play it the same.

I would raise preflop. Other than that, it looks fine.

Raise pre-flop.

Are the raise suggestions because Hero is on the button? I usually don't raise any pair lower than 1010 preflop.
I take it BB hit his flush or straight?

Yup. I would raise from CO, and maybe middle position as well.

You may not be giving hands like 99 and maybe 88 enough credit.

yep.

BB had 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Very unprofitable night .
Getting rivered 3 times on three big pots combined with a few mistakes in those hands was painful. Thats what I get for playing a LAG game... some times i get +20BB some times -20.

good thing its only .5/1

BB is probably playing 46s against your pre-flop raise anyway...not that that's too much consolation
good luck
