Default Bumping posts from the \"older archives\"

There is a thread that is less than a year old that I would like to bump in one of the other forums. Is this possible to do or is the only way to do it is provide a link?

Thanks,
Chris

EDIT: My question wasnt clear. When you click older archives, you can then click a link that says recent archives. There is a thread in there that I wish to bump. possible?
