Automatic card shuffler--any good?
I was looking around for a dealer button when I came across this automatic card shuffler:
http://www.pokerchipmart.com/accesso...Shuffler6.html Does anybody have any experience with these? It would be great for home games but I'm skeptical that anything so cheap can work well. |

my wife bought me one...bless her heart...
The thing is a total piece of [censored]. Don't waste your time. First off, you have to break the deck in half anyway and manually push a button to shuffle. Second, it is unbearably loud. If you really want one - I'll send you mine. You pay for shipping. |

yeah its garbage, and IMO its kind of gay to have a machine shuffle the cards for you.

Re: Automatic card shuffler--any good?
it completely blows, my grandparents got one and I played with it for 5 minutes and it broke. It took longer than shuffling normally anyway, heh

I'd think a quality shuffler (like the ones in casinos) should be good, dunno about the one in the link. |

Re: Automatic card shuffler--any good?
I'm not even sure that you could find a poker table that had the built in autoshuffler like they use in casino's. And, even if you could you'd likely have to pony up some serious moola to own it.
FWIW, I've played at a casino with autoshufflers in the main games - it totally rocks. My best estimate is you can see anywhere from 10-15 more hands per hour, depending on the dealer. |

Re: Automatic card shuffler--any good?
The shuffle master machines used at the Bicycle club and elsewhere cost around $20,000 from what I understand. Regardless, they are not, AFAIK, available to the general public, but only to licensed gaming establishments.
