Default which novels do you read at least once a year?

Am I the only one that does this? Two novels for me are re-read at least once a year. The Catcher In The Rye and Summer of '42. They make me laugh and I truly believe these books have changed me for the better.

The Catcher in the Rye, 1984 and Homage to Catalonia are the books I reread the most. Not quite once a year but fairly often.

For a while I read Johnny Got His Gun once a year. Then I loaned the book to a friend and it's been over two years since it's been in my possession.

That reminds me...

They are not great literary works but I reread Lawrence Block's Matt Scudder and Bernie Rhodenbahr neovels over quite a bit. I also like to reread Dennis Lehane.

I have also reread Catch 22, Oliver Twist and all the Harry Potter books (to my son) reecently.

I'm surprised GIANT isn't on your list, given your namesake. Haven't read the book but the movie is excellent. I'm not sure that I've seen a woman look more beautiful on screen than Liz Taylor in that movie.

As for me, I re-read The World's Most Dangerous Places quite often. A great, if somewhat morbid read.

i end up reading Watership Down once every year or two- and Amy's eyes and Where the red fern grows fairly often as well. They are all books that i read/were read to me as a kid and i have an emotional attachment to them.
