Default I hate min raises

30+3 on Party. Never know quite what to do with these.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (10 handed) converter

MP2 (t2175)
MP3 (t1835)
CO (t3813)
Button (t2940)
SB (t1125)
BB (t745)
UTG (t905)
UTG+1 (t1780)
Hero (t1615)
MP1 (t2007)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t175</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to t300</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, Hero calls t125.

Flop: (t675) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets t275</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to t550</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t1500

Was not ready to go broke on a marginal hand like this. Any better way to see where I'm at? Somehow I feel like with TT the hand would have been much different (it shouldn't be, but that's how I feel)

why are you betting out?
what do you think he is minraising with? it is AA/KK 90% of the time, so all you have is set value.
Then only way you can hope he has AK is if he has done it a ton of times.
So you flat call preflop, and hope to hit your set.
I would love that he minraised me since i know i'll lose 125 more or bust him.

Ummm I have been minraised by a MUCH wider range of hands than AA/KK, including offsuit big cards and small pairs. My bet on the flop was to see if he had the big pair that he was representing, and he kept representing it so I let him have it. Going check/fold on any flop that you don't set is giving up to much IMO

E,

I think your line is a little weak. Preflop is fine. The flop is questionable. First of all, you bet 275 into 675 pot and fold to a min raise. I guess you accomplished what you wanted, but there has to be a better plan than this.

I vote for check/folding the flop, or at least checking and then deciding what to do. Who knows, he may even bet something like 50, and you can go to the turn. In my experience you really dont want to take 99 unimproved to war on a board like this vs a fishy pf min raise.
