Something I have realized...
I am a recent college graduate. I had a ton of fun in college. I loved hanging out, drinking, and having fun with my friends and roomates.
During college I would play online poker, not an excessive amount, but enough. It was so much fun because I was making money and still hanging out with my friends and doing decent in school. After college I noticed something. My social life had been cut down quite a bit, and online poker, even as profitableas it may be, was no longer satisfying. Sitting in my room with no roomates staring at a screen just wasn't doing it. The money wasn't enough to motivate me to keep doing it. I came to the realization that I don't want to play online poker anymore because there are no social aspects to it. I have realized that I enjoy playing in a live setting whether it be casino or home game so much more. Playing live I feel that I can use both my poker and social skills much much more. I guess why I'm writing this is to ask if anyone else feels the same way? I know a lot of the people that play 8 tables and make a lot of money are going to say "no way its great", but I almost feel that it is time to move on and away from online poker. So does anyone else out there feel like this? |
