Default best 7CS book?

Hi everyone,

I play in a B+M casino where they play HE, Omaha high and 7CS spreadlimit. I feel my stud game could use the most work, can anyone recommend a great book? Or several? Limit is 10-30 US$ spread limit, so the price of a book should be won back easily, if the book helps at all... lol.

Advice appreciated.

Greets, Erd.

seven stud for advanced players is my vote. then just use your best judgement and adjust for the spread limit some. it wont be much. ante adjustments are most important when comparing different games. if you ever run into my friend mickey finn say high please.

Actually, Mickey plays regularly at that casino. Good guess. I will say hi next time (which won't be for another month, as I am travelling in Brazil right now... any friends of yours living here? lol)

Any other book you would also recommend?

Greets, Erd.

Default Hello,Erdase! Seven Card Stud by Konstantine Othmer--and...

if U do not have much stud experience, read and study Roy West's primer--Seven Card Stud For Low and Medium limits (to 10/20). Konstantine provides ample statistical details and tells you how to play in certain situations .
His graphs and statistics are extremely detailed.
RayZee's book assumes the reader has a good understanding of the basics already.
Hence,if U do not already have a very good understanding of basic stud strategies, then reading RayZee will NOT do U much good.
However,if u already have considerable basic stud strategy
understanding, then RayZee's book will augment your understanding to move forward to higher limits like 15/30 and 20/40.

Bull,

I have to disagree with you here. My first book was Sklansky's Hold'em (not HPFAP)and TOP. Although a lot of the content did not speak to the 3-6 game I started playing in, it can't hurt to get ahead of yourself when trying to learn poker. Even at the lower limits, the advanced series help you create a mind for poker. There are a lot of people at all limits who seem to never learn from their mistakes. . .and the FAP series help you to analyze your hands and learn from your mistakes. . .

Default Hello,glen! I learned more about Hold\'em By ...

studying the advanced book by Sklansky and Malmuth than by studying Lee Jone's basic Hold'em book. however,I can't say the same thing about 7-card Stud. I learn more from the basic books than from the advanced books.
