Hilarious $2/4 hand from this weekend...

I went to The Oaks Card club this past Friday to get in a few orbits of HE before heading home, where I had the (mis)fortune of seeing a very peculiar hand.

To set the stage, I'd been playing for about half an hour and was up about $30, thanks to the Poker Gods blessing me with a KK on my first hand. There are several extremely drunk British chaps at my table, and several people who are not playing with an adequate stack. I bought in for $100, giving me about $130 total...

UTG+1, I find TT and raise. Limey #1 calls and is all-in. Limey #2 calls, CO and button call, and the BB re-raises. "Uh oh", I think. Everyone else calls and we go to the flop, which is...

J T 4 rainbow. Nice. BB bets and I raise. Limey #2 re-raises, and is all in. CO folds, button calls, and BB calls and HE is all in. I only call here, which in retrospect was probably a mistake, as I should've bet again into the only remaining player on the button.

The turn is an 8. I bet, button calls.

The river is a 3 and brings no flush possibilities. I bet, button calls, and Limey #2 who was all in starts yelling "Send it!" and flips over Q9. I feel sick. But I have company, as the BB disgustedly throws his JJ into the muck, and Drunk Limey #1 ruefully shows his 88.

Three sets, one nut straight...
