Default Check Problem

So basically I had a check in my wallet and left it in my shorts which were washed. Therefore, the check was very fragile and so I decided to try to cash it at the bank before going golfing today but the bank wouldn't let me since I don't have an account. So I went on to go play golf and as I was grabbing my money from my pocket, the check ripped in half.

What's my play? It was from pokerstars by the way.

You should be able to simply request a new cheque. They will void the current one then send you a fresh (dry) new one.

Tape it together and try another bank.

When that fails, email Stars suppor to have them reissue the check. They'll put a hold on the one you killed.

Don't wash the next one.

(This is all a guess. If you said it was from Party, I'd just tell you to forget the money -- but since it's from a site with good customer support, I'm going to guess they'll help you)

No bank is going to cash this check or any other Pokerstars check for him if he doesn't have an account. The poster should open up a bank account--assuming that his mommy will let him.

Don't you have a bank account somewhere? Go there.

My bank account is for some weird reason in Texas. I live in Massachusetts so I can't really go down there. I need to get that changed.

If you need the money immediately, take it to a check cash store and pay the juice.
