Default Calling Shortie on the Bubble

$22

This is where the pot odds make this a very obvious call, but I hate putting my tourney on the line (on the bubble) where I am probably a dog. What say ye?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (4 handed) converter

SB (t2765)
Hero (t1203)
UTG (t3462)
Button (t570)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero calls t270.

Flop: (t720) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t720) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t720) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t720

Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Ts (one pair, fives).
Button has Jd Ah (straight, five high).
Outcome: Button wins t720.

I think you have to call here.

He'll have too many chips if you fold, and you've got and okay hand.

He'll hit the blinds for 450 soon and have to make another move.

So, I call.

If you fold, you're the short stack anyway, so you might as well have two shots at getting lucky instead of one.

Its not really "putting your tourney on the line". But yes I would call.

Are you kidding? You can't even think about not calling here.

As a bonus, as short as the button is, often you will have a better hand than he does.

Seriously, this is a no-brainer.
