Fishing?

I'm heading back to school soon and prepared to do some fishing. Only problem is I have minimal knowledge when it comes to actually catching fish.

I live by the Susquehanna River, which has walleye, small-mouthed bass, carp and some other fishies. Last year a couple of local fishermen recommended using minnows and nightcrawlers as bait. A friend (who claimed to have caught many fish in the same river) and I went out twice to catch fish but had no success.

Now I know there are some hardcore fishermen here. I won't name any names but HELP A BROTHER OUT HERE.

stick your hand in the water where you think there might be a big catfish. You should probably wear a glove. Wait for him to bite you then hoist him out of the water.
