Default Good time for Stop and Go?

2 players left in a 14 person live tourney. 1st gets 60%, 2nd 30%.

Blinds are 200-400. 11,000 chips in play, I have about 5,000. I started HU with only 1/9th of the chips but have doubled 2X and my usually aggressive opponent has slowed down a bit after I called 2 of his pre-flop all-ins with better hands to get my chips.

He raises the BB 1,000. I call with KcTc. Flop is 984 rainbow. I push.

Terrible. The stop and go is for when there's no chance of him folding preflop if you reraise. That isn't the case here.
