I've heard an acoustic version, wasn't aware it was on Howard Stern, but I agree it was most excellent.

"Rock" is a bit broad, either way it's not Everlong. Great song though.

I'm not sure, it would obviously take awhile. A few worth mentioning: "Brain Stew," "Bulls on Parade," "Stinkfist."

The problem with threads like this, is not many people post what would legititmately be thought of as the best rock song of the past 10 years, just their favorite one. There is a big difference.

I'm already seeing songs I haven't heard of, which is annoying in a thread like this.
