Betting that river is mandatory. I also throw away 1 BB calling the raise closing the action.

you played it correctly, and if they guy rivered a two pair or hit his gutshot to beat you oh well, it happens. Call down his raise and make a note.

Notice that he had the odds to chase his two pair or gutshot the whole way so take that into consideration. It could mean he is aware of the odds and realized he had the odds to chase playing 56s or it could just mean he's a fish who'll chase down any gutshot no matter the pot size. You'll have to see how he continues to play to make that distinction.

I think its pretty safe to say MP2 has a 5 and you can fold to the river raise.

I ain't folding the river in a 20BB pot for 1 more bet. Especially since we're closing the action.

Looks fine. I'd just call the river, he could be bluffing but he could actually have a five, so no raise.

Looking at it on paper I might just check the river to try and induce a bluff. If they have the strt or two pair there going to raise you anyway, and you'll pay 2b. If you check/call you will pay 1b to the strt, and if none have it gain 1 bet due to a bluff. Also it might keep a couple of the limpers with second pair or small pp in for one more. *shrug*

Honestly, I would never check here. Sure someone could have a 5, but if you miss a couple BBs b/c its checked through, that's a good chunk of your BB/100 winrate you just passed up.

read would be nice here. Without one you're stuck calling a bet on the river. If he's passive you could probably find a fold here
