And we are betting the turn because? I dont like this situation when I am called and only have A high.

I understand calling the river since its likely that your A kicker will split the pot.

A lot of hands that are going to peel one on that flop are folding when the brick hits the turn.

True. But when he calls the turn am I good often enough to justfy the river call? Most players with a lower ace (can't see him take a worse hand than that this far) would be happy just to see a showdown. When he bets the likelyhood he has something that beat me is pretty big.

I sometimes feel I am a river calling machine and I am looking for sitautions where it is not right to make the call with A high.

The call is good. He's an unknown, might be a "bet when checked to" type of player. So the call is for info and u got showndown value. I may only fold the river when this guy is really passive. I at least need a good read for this
