You normally think your hand is best on a J64 flop here or was this player a complete clown?
Why not cap it if you think you will be ahead on a flop that looks like it miss your both ? That way you may fold a better hand on a flop that looks like it hit you or you may fold a live 6-outer.

the funniest part about the hand is that the villain didnt even want to see your hand. by mucking out of turn its obvious he 3betted you with some horrendous garbage, so if you look in the hand history it wont tell you anything you already know. hes better off seeing what you called him down with. you calling down with A9o tells him alot.

Take a range of hand strengths: bluff, draw, weak, medium and strong
Give the likelihood of him having each one. What he would do in each situation if I raised the flop or turn? How much do I win/lose in each situation? Put all of that together.

OK, I'll try to figure this out. Try not to laugh.
Villain 3-bet you preflop. My first thought is he has medium pair. After that I suspect AK, AQ and less likely is a premium pair. If you check/raise flop, lead turn, perhaps you can get opponent to fold AK or even a small pair. You consider this line not worth the risk? Please elaborate. I really have the sense I'm missing something that's obvious to you.
