Default foxwoods no limit 1-2 blind table... pisses me off !!

ok... so i was playing the 40 dollar buy in no limit at foxwoods last night........ (max buy in 100 dollars)

and the following hand comes up.

i fold my frist 8 hands.... post the blind.... it gets raised.. i fold.... another 6 hands....... than i get dealt

K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

first good hand.

i raise to 15 dollars. (standard raise is about ten dollars)

gets folded around ... i get 2 callers. blinds fold.

flop comes 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

i am first to act.

i move ALL IN for another 60 dollars.

first caller folds...

second caller CALLS ME... and flips over

5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

what the heck? why did he call 15 dollar raise with that?

he had about 70 dollars in front of him... (some people had over 300...... so he wasnt a huge stack)

so anyways... i lost with kings to a 5 3 offsuit.

pissed me off.

ahhhhhh, just wanted to rant.

thanks for listening. i hate when that [censored] happens.

Now let's say what happens is what is supposed to happen. You raise to $15 and the table folds and you rake in that big $3 pot after folding 14 hands in a row.

You would be saying, gee I waited all that time and finally get a hand and all I made was a measily $3, would have been nice to get a little action with that hand.

I love when people say that: "Why the heck did he call that?" Well, duh. To hit trips, two pairs or a str8 draw and crack your big pair. Granted, it's a tough beat but it happens. I was in the big NL game at Foxwoods last thursday and my As were cracked by Q/10, cost me $500 on one hand, from my stack, the total pot was well over a grand. It happens, baby, be glad it only cost you $75!

If the stacks were deeper than $100 it could be +EV to call a $15 raise with 5-3o with the hope of getting a flop exactly like his opponent caught. However seeing that the stack sizes were limited it was a bad move.

I'm not sure I like the idea of pushing allin on the flop there either.

As IgorSmiles said, be glad your stack wasn't bigger.

I dont like your play here with TT. After you put in a raise and he re-raises you back I would think he may have hit a set. How was his play at the table earlier in the Tournament? Tight? Loose? Willing to gamble? If it was the last, then your play was good.
