I think you played it fine. Maybe others will disagree with me, but I see no point in three-betting the turn when it's heads-up, since you may be drawing very thin. Although he could possibly be semi-bluffing with a flush-draw like Qxs, the risk of being reraised by 8x would not seem to make your raise worthwhile, unless you are prepared to fold to a potential turn cap.
