So I tried to make a move...
This guy is 52/35/3.09 . Is this a legitimate "move"? Well I guess it's two moves.
EDIT: Also maybe important that he's 57% WTSD. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter UTG ($55.70) Hero ($25) Button ($28.62) SB ($12.60) BB ($24.75) Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Re: So I tried to make a move...
if the guy is really raising 35% of his hands preflop, I think you should reraise preflop with AQ.
and sometimes you might be able to put opponent on a hand but miscalculate your fold equity. |

Re: So I tried to make a move...
With 57% WSD this player is likely going to showdown regardless of how many chips you do or don't put in the middle. He's also calling regardless of whether or not the flush beats him.
Without some sort of a made hand, I'm not sure there's much point in putting a "move" on this type of player. |

No moves against loose players. They pay off value bets. Make moves against tight players. |

Re: So I tried to make a move...
Right move, wrong player. wtsd 57% = don't make moves, just value bet made hands.
Amoeba's point about reraising a 35% pfr player with stuff like AQ is 100% |

Re: So I tried to make a move...
So what do you do when you re-raise the maniac PF w/ AQo, and he 3bets all-in? Call, assuming we are priced in for a coin flip? Is 35% pfr so high that we are content to pay off the possibility of QQ/KK/AA/AK in this situation?
What if: - He calls the pf re-raise, and pots a blank flop into you? Easy fold? - He calls the pf re-raise, and checks the flop? Stab at it and fold to a c/r? I realize this is stack size and situation dependant, but let's say ~100bb+ stack sizes vs. a "typical" 35% pfr'er. |
