![]() 3rd level of tournament I have hit some big hands and have 4000 in chips (chip leader at table)(blinds 25 - 50) I have JJ in mid position - passed to me and I raise (to 175) cutoff and button both call. Flop is 10-9-4 rainbow. I bet the pot - only cutoff calls (he has 1700 left in chips - ie enough to hurt me not cripple me) Turn a 6 What is my action now? Is this hand strong enough to move in or should I be worried by the cutoff smooth calling twice? Does it make a difference that the cutoff had played very few hands in the tournament to that point? |

![]() By my count, there is about 600 in the pot, and you say he has 1700 left. Against most players I would bet about 500 and make a decision if he raises all-in. However, don't discount a hand like AT, JTs, and the like when he raises. Decide if he must have you beat to go all-in before you fold. Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan) |
