Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
You're getting amost 10:1 odds on the flop. Easy call. Assuming he has the straight already, you have almost 10% equity, and you have way about 25% equity against AA, KK, KQ or AQ. JJ you have 10% equity again. So I'd say this is an easy call on the flop.

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
I might muck preflop.

Looks good to me. If he is going to give you those odds, take them and make him pay for his greed. Nice hand.

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
I thought about it and I decided that I would outflop/turn him.
But seriously, I was only putting in ~10% of my stack and there was a bit of dead money. Is that marginal or bad? |

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
I usually won't call a pre-flop raise of that size with 10 10, but I guess once you've done that calling a 1/6th pot bet with a pair and an inside straight draw makes sense.
The real question is: How much worse could CO have played it? Answer: None more worse. |

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
Is it really that bad of a call with the dead money in there? It's only ~10% of my stack and there's the dead money.

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
You are lucky that CO was bad. If I were the CO, you would have seen a $10 bet on the flop, which would have been a fold for you.
Anyway, very nice play on every street. I agree with mucking a reraise on the flop in most games with TT, but if you are playing microlimits, I have no problem with gambling once in a while. Just don't go all-in with TT if you flop an overpair. That's just stoopid. |

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
No, certainly not a *bad* call, maybe just marginal. But I'm pretty tight. I'd be happier if you & CO had bigger stacks to pay more off if you make your set. Also would be nice to have position.

Re: TT- no set- but straight draw
You're basically putting in $3 out of a $25 stack preflop. 10% of your stack is a lot. Especially when a reraise comes.
