Default Hold\'em Tourny Book(s) for a newbie??

Hi,

There is a local casino that has a no limit daily hold'em tourny for $25 per head...I am new to poker and tourny play...I was wondering what books you all would recommend for me to start out with as far as tourny play goes??

Thanks for anticipated replies.

I've already earned a reputation for having a UB and Hellmuth agenda, so whats one more time?

I think you should get Phil Hellmuths Tournamnet Poker Strategies DVD. IMO it is EXCELLENT especially for a beginner. Thats really the only reason im reccomending it, I dont work for him.

Trust me, get the DVD and come back and tell us how much it helped.

You can get them at mastersofpoker.com Its a four DVD set for about $40. Not sure if GBC carries them. If you get rush delivery, its supposed to be under 5 days. I got mine delivered from CA to FL in three, so if your in Vegas, I think you might get it in one or two.

You said you are a beginner, I think this series will get you up to speed pretty quickly. You will have to come back here and really start working to become a really good player, but IMO you will be able to beat the game with his system. Good luck.
